Founding members of MuzikMafia, John Rich, Kenny Alphin (Big Kenny), Jon Nicholson and Cory Gierman had the simple, but powerful idea of bringing artists of all types together to share their passion for muzik. The mission is to break down preconceived ideas about muzikal genres and simply make great muzik, for all to enjoy. It’s about breaking down the walls of muzikal genres and letting people who are passionate about making muzik do so without those walls.

“The Mafia is about great muzik, regardless of genre – it’s about knocking down the walls and letting the muzik stand on it’s own” says John Rich.

The Mafia represents artists from the traditional genres of Country & Western, Rock and Roll and R&B, Bluegrass and Rap. It’s even pioneered new genres that we like to call Hick Hop and Ya’ll-ternative Rock.

“The mission of MuzikMafia is unique in the muzik industry in that we don’t try to fit into one particular mold. It’s not uncommon for a fan to switch from a Country station to one that plays R&B and then on to one that plays Rock. The Mafia gives that fan the chance to hear all types of muzik and from what we have seen so far, they seem to like it”, explains Godfather Cory Gierman.
