“Was that as good as I thought it was? Did I just hear that?” That was John Rich’s first reaction to hearing Gretchen Wilson sing with the house band at a bar on Printer’s Alley in Nashville. “I think so”, Big Kenny replied.

Big Kenny and John Rich had walked into the bar to "have a few cocktails" and after hearing Wilson, knew they wanted to invite her to jam with them - to become part of the MuzikMafia. After refusing to return John’s call for several months, Gretchen decided to take a chance and listen to what they had to say. In 2002, she became a member of the MuzikMafia. Two albums and several New Artist and Female Vocalist awards later Gretchen is sharing her love of muzik with millions of fans and we’re proud to call her part of the family. So proud that in 2005, the founding members of the Mafia (the Godfathers) invited Gretchen to be the first Godmother of the Mafia.
