As the only visual artist associated with the
MuzikMafia, the Nashville-based avant-garde artists’ collaborative
that yielded Multi-Platinum recording artists
Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson, Rachel Kice
is on the rise as a true American “Art
Star.”
As a self-described, “painter of fine
muzik,” Kice joins some of the country’s
biggest stars and brand names as she rhythmically
applies paint to spinning canvases, adding line,
shape, form, texture and color to reflect the
physical environment and mood of the muzikal
event in which she is participating. Although
the fruits of Rachel’s performances yield
a product—a finished painting, her literal
act of painting liberates her from the objects
she creates and affords her the freedom to “exhibit” everywhere
from concert stages to museum galleries.
No matter the venue or circumstance, Rachel
engages and connects with her audience. Performing
as a part of the recently completed American
Revolution stadium tour, which featured her MuzikMafia
counterparts, Rachel painted on stage before
thousands of eager concertgoers. Her reach and
appeal has been fortified in televised performances,
such as the Radio muzik Awards, and in her new
role, playing herself on CMT’s adventurous
original reality series, MuzikMafia TV.
Rachel’s paintings are found in private
collections worldwide, including those of Bob
Dole, Tim McGraw, Kid Rock, King Albert of Monaco
and Willie Nelson.
