Otto, Muzik Mafia Ride with Harmon in Pepsi 300

Elite 2 Racing joins forces with country music stars

Mooresville, NC (March 16, 2008) … NASCAR and country music fans have always enjoyed a special bond. Mike Harmon and the Elite 2 Racing Team will continue that relationship at the Nashville Superspeedway for the Pepsi 300.

The biggest voice in country music, James Otto, will be displayed on the hood, and Muzik Mafia on the television panel of Harmon’s #84 Chevrolet for the 300-mile event. Otto is one of the fastest-rising stars in country music and a member of the Muzik Mafia, a group of musicians who share a love of music. Muzik Mafia artists include Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson, Cowboy Troy, John Anderson, and Otto among others. Muzik Mafia and Elite Sports and Entertainment, a partner of Harmon in Elite 2 Racing, have enjoyed a business relationship for several years.

Otto, whose debut album Sunset Man will be released on April 8th on Warner Bros. Records/Raybaw, is an avid motorcyclist who owns a vintage Cadillac given to him by the Muzik Mafia. Sunset Man is co-produced by John Rich of Big & Rich and Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts. Otto’s current single, “Just Got Started Lovin’ You”, is currently #10 on the charts and was recently featured as USA Today’s “Pick of the Week”.

Alabama-native Harmon is a veteran competitor with both ARCA and NASCAR Nationwide (Busch) experience at Nashville Superspeedway. His best Nationwide finish at Nashville is 22nd in April, 2003.

“I’m really looking forward to the Pepsi 300 at Nashville,” Harmon stated. “And, to have the support of James Otto and the Muzik Mafia gives our Elite 2 Racing Team extra motivation. We’ll certainly have lots of support in Nashville with all the country music fans as well as a group of friends from Alabama coming to the race. We’re looking for our best race of the season next Saturday.”

The Pepsi 300 is the first stand-alone Nationwide Series race of 2008. Qualifying is set for 11:05 a.m. ET on Saturday, March 22nd, with the green flag set for 3 p.m. ET. ESPN2 will televise the event live with MRN providing the radio coverage.
